Shares of the Danish utility firm Orsted A/S hit a six-year low after two of its US wind projects stalled and the company recorded 28.4 billion kroner ($4 billion) in impairments as the wind industry crisis worsens!
This comes after the energy giant Equinor, from Norway, took a $300 million impairment on its US offshore wind projects while BP took a $540 million pre-tax impairment related to its offshore activity in the US.
And there is one more victim (for now): the Chinese turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology published 3rd quarter profits down by 98%. As for now, all is mulling together as if Wind is not so mature as published and promoted by the sponsors.
