Market outlook equities LATAM

At first glance, there seems to be little hope for optimism in LATAM. Most the countries of the region slipped into a recession late last year. This occurred on the back of bad weather, supply chain disruptions, and inflation fears.

Yet, and as a result of the pandemic, many countries enacted important reforms, including privatizing some state-owned assets that bring more foreign investments. Additionally, many markets have experienced deep sell-offs that have created valuable opportunities to invest in undervalued companies that benefit from higher raw material output prices.
