Deutsche Telekom – Introduction
The German telecom provider is not only the key operator in Germany, but is also, through its subsidiaries, one of the largest carriers in the world.
The company’s core business is providing connectivity to private households and companies. Its offer and products include fixed-network and mobile communications services, enterprise information and communication technology (ICT) as well as data and multimedia services such as “Entertain”, branded internet television. In the internet business, DTEGn is the leading ISP in Germany. About 75% of the company’s sales are generated in Europe and the remainder mostly in North America.
Through its subsidiary T-Mobile US, DT is involved in the takeover fight for the satellite TV provider, Dish. Sprint has provided an alternative offer for the same company.
