To be sure, the ‘metaverse’ may not ring any bells for you right now, and that is understandable because it is relatively new. According to Wikipedia, the metaverse is a collective virtual shared space created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space, and it includes the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality, and the internet.
A key service provider in this virtual area is Roblox, which has over 32 million daily active users worldwide. Other companies moving into the same space are Zoom Video Communication, Facebook, and Unity Software. What makes each of these companies unique?
