European Union set to open in-depth review of German economy because of worries that weak domestic demand there threatens to undermine nascent euro-zone recovery. Olli Rehn, the European Commission’s economics chief, will propose opening the review at the commission’s weekly meeting on Wednesday, people familiar with the decision said.
